Nancy Gasper-Smith, PhD, RAC, is a Clinical Research Scientist at IMPACT. Prior to joining IMPACT, Nancy served as a Senior Medical Writer and Scientific Communications Specialist at i3 Statprobe and as a Clinical Research Scientist at SRA/Constella Group. As a Medical Writer and Clinical Research Scientist, she has served as a project manager for several interdisciplinary writing projects (including Annual Reports, Protocols, IBs, and Regulatory Responses) and as the primary author of a wide variety of regulatory documents (CSRs, ISEs/ISSs, Briefing Documents, and Narratives). She has also prepared manuscripts, meeting abstracts, and poster presentations. This work has encompassed a broad range of therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, anesthesiology, pain management, neurology, and ophthalmology.
Dr. Gasper-Smith has a year and a half of post-doctoral training in immunology and HIV vaccine research at Duke University Medical Center. She received a BS in Biology with honors from the University of NC at Charlotte and a PhD in Biology and Biomedical Technology from the University of NC at Charlotte. She also earned her US Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) from the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS) in 2008.
