IMPACT’S Making an IMPACT Initiative Celebrates the Second Half of 2017

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC: 24 January 2018 – In the second half of 2017, IMPACT’s employees continued their generous efforts via the Making an IMPACT community service initiative. Together, we held several donation drives for various charities, as well as our annual Season of Giving series of mini-events.

IMPACT’s 4th annual Crayons2Calculators Fill that Bus! drive
In August, Beth Pultorak spearheaded the 4th annual Crayons2Calculators “Fill that Bus!” drive. Crayons2Calculators helps more than 10,000 local children in need by providing their teachers with basic school supplies and educational tools.

IMPACT employees supported Durham public schools by donating 4 large bins of supplies to Crayons2Calculators’ annual Fill That Bus! event!

IMPACT Employee Honored as the “Triangle’s Finest” by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Research Triangle Park, NC: 7 December 2017 – This fall, IMPACT’s Rachel Cohen participated in the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation’s annual “Triangle’s Finest” event, a program for Triangle-area men and women committed to professional development and personal growth through fundraising and awareness.

On November 3rd, 4 individuals were honored at the Brewer’s Ball celebration where over 200 attendees gathered at Bond Brothers Beer Company in Cary to celebrate the Triangle’s Finest and benefit the CF Foundation. In addition to Rachel, Caroline Teachey (Chiesi USA), Sarah Stokes (Gluten-Free with Sarah B), and Charles Webb (Starbucks Coffee) were honored by the CF Foundation.

On a gorgeous fall night amidst a casual environment including craft beer, tasty food from local vendors, and auction items galore, Rachel (left) was recognized as the “Triangle’s Finest Young Professional of the Year” after raising the highest amount of the 4 honorees.

In 7 weeks, Rachel raised over $8000 by online fundraising, corporate sponsorship, co-hosting a donation Yoga for Runners class with Arrichion Durham, and receiving a portion of proceeds from events held at Bull Street Gourmet & Market and Wine & Design Durham.

Meredith Latino, PhD Promoted to Senior Clinical Research Scientist

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC: 18 Oct 2017 – In September 2017, Meredith Latino, PhD was promoted to the position of Senior Clinical Research Scientist at Impact Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (IMPACT).

Meredith joined IMPACT in December of 2012 as a Clinical Research Scientist and worked primarily with one of our strategic partners helping to coordinate the proper compilation of clinical study report appendices. After spending several years in that role, Meredith increased her medical writing responsibilities and quickly developed into a very talented author. In her role as a Senior Clinical Research Scientist, Meredith contributes to an assortment of documents (eg, clinical study reports, Investigator’s Brochures, and New Drug Applications) across a variety of therapeutic areas. In addition to her writing responsibilities, she has become a dedicated, knowledgeable mentor to our newer writers – and is always willing to go the extra mile to help them succeed.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC: 29 August 2017 – In the first half of 2017, IMPACT’s employees continued their generous efforts via the Making an IMPACT community service initiative. Together, we held several donation drives for various charities, as well as our annual March Madness fundraiser.

IMPACT Collects Books for Book Harvest

In January, Lena Randhawa (pictured to the left) organized a book drive to support Book Harvest. Book Harvest provides books to children in need and engages families and communities to promote children’s lifelong literacy and academic success.

IMPACT employees collected 404 books! This year, Book Harvest was able to shatter their previous book collection record and collect over 48,000 books!

Ilana Dew, PhD Promoted to Senior Clinical Research Scientist

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC: 20 April 2017 – In April 2017, Ilana Dew, PhD was promoted to the position of Senior Clinical Research Scientist at Impact Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (IMPACT).

Since joining the IMPACT family in June of 2016, Ilana has made significant contributions to IMPACT’s growth and the development of our corporate culture. In the role of Senior Clinical Research Scientist, Ilana provides a variety of services for IMPACT’s clients, including authoring various types of regulatory documents (eg, meeting requests, briefing documents, study protocols, components of marketing applications [NDAs/MAAs], and clinical study reports) across many different therapeutic areas. In addition to providing high-quality drug development services to IMPACT’s clients, Ilana serves as an active member of the company’s ‘Making an IMPACT’ community outreach initiative.
