Elizabeth Pultorak, PhD, Promoted to Principal Clinical Research Scientist

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC: 23 September 2020 – In March 2020, Elizabeth “Beth” Pultorak, PhD was promoted to the position of Principal Clinical Research Scientist at Impact Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (IMPACT).

Since joining the company in June of 2016, Beth initially served as a Clinical Research Scientist and was then promoted to Senior Clinical Research Scientist in December of 2018. Beth earned a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a MS in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a PhD in Comparative Biomedical Science from North Carolina State University. In addition, Beth received formal training in SAS programming and served as a SAS data analyst at a healthcare consulting firm in Chicago, IL. Prior to joining IMPACT, Beth served as a Proposal Content Liaison at ETSI and a Medical Writer/Research Scientist at Galaxy Diagnostics, Inc. In her career at IMPACT, Beth has authored a multitude of clinical study reports (CSRs) and other regulatory documents, including clinical sections of marketing applications (including Integrated Summaries of Safety [ISSs], Integrated Summaries of Efficacy [ISEs], and Module 2 clinical summaries), post-submission responses to regulatory authorities, clinical protocols, annual reports, Investigational New Drug (IND) components, Risk Management Plans, Investigator’s Brochures, and safety narratives. Beth previously served as the Project Manager and, most recently, as the overall Project Advisor for a Strategic Partnership involving yearly writing and compilation for over 90 CSRs and regulatory documents. Furthermore, at the client’s request, Beth is now serving in a medical writing project management capacity for this Sponsor that typically is fulfilled by an internal member of the Sponsor team. In addition, she has experience in the management of large and complex marketing application projects. Her work has encompassed a broad range of therapeutic areas, including infectious disease, respiratory disorders, immunology, neurology, metabolic disorders, reproductive disorders, oncology, and pain management.

“Beth has worked incredibly hard to earn her promotion to Principal Clinical Research Scientist,” said Senior Manager, Jenny Garver. “Since joining IMPACT, Beth has demonstrated herself to be a gifted scientist with the ability to embrace any project she encounters, regardless of its complexity and innate challenges. She is a remarkable medical writer, an insightful leader, and a patient mentor. We are incredibly lucky to have Beth as an integral part of our IMPACT team. I look forward to watching her to continue to lead and flourish in her new role as Principal Clinical Research Scientist.”

Tim Garver, Executive Vice President and COO at IMPACT, comments, “Beth is a vital part of our success at IMPACT.  Beth is an excellent scientist, medical writer, statistician, and project manager. In addition, she clearly understands what it takes to build and maintain client relationships, which she has very successfully done with one of IMPACT’s most important Sponsors with whom IMPACT has a long-standing strategic medical writing partnership.  Beth has a contagious sense of humor and is a patient and fantastic mentor to members of our junior staff.  Beth is a leader at this company and is always thinking about what is in the best interest of IMPACT’s overall business success.  Her promotion to Principal Clinical Research Scientist is extremely warranted.”
