Highlights from 2016: A Year of Success and Growth at IMPACT

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC: 16 March 2017 – Impact Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (IMPACT), a pharmaceutical research and consulting firm located in Research Triangle Park, NC, had another amazing year in 2016.

Our Clients

At IMPACT, we pride ourselves on producing the highest quality work that is sound from both a scientific and regulatory perspective, while at the same time providing the best customer service to our clients. This approach has consistently resulted in a significant amount of repeat and referral business over the years, and 2016 was no exception. In addition to repeat business from our established clientele, IMPACT’s client base increased by 20% relative to 2015, with our core service offerings – medical writing, regulatory operations, and regulatory affairs consulting – each establishing new clients during the year. As a result, IMPACT had a particularly stellar year, and our upcoming business through 2017 and beyond appears to be quite strong.

Our Staff

As a result of the growth we saw in our business last year, IMPACT had the opportunity to add considerable talent to our already-impressive staff. 2016 marked our most prolific year in terms of hiring, as we added six new faces to our group: Preeti Chugha, Ryan Overcash, Jeff Golden, Ilana Dew, Beth Pultorak, and Chrissy Williams. All six of these individuals have proven to be wonderful additions in terms of the high‑quality work that they produce as well as the positive contributions each has made to our company culture.

In addition to our surge in new hires last year, our current staff members collectively had a very successfully year professionally. Throughout 2016 we continued to receive consistently positive feedback from our clients, and a number of our employees found themselves “at the podium” at local and national industry meetings, where they had the opportunity to share their expertise with others in the field.

An Expansion of Our Social Media Presence

In 2015, IMPACT launched a concerted social media initiative – and that initiative blossomed in 2016. Last year our staff authored 24 blog posts addressing various topics related to what we do as a company – medical writing, regulatory affairs, and regulatory operations. Those who follow our blog have provided outstanding feedback about the content of our posts, which is another tribute to the talented individuals we are so fortunate to have within our organization.

In addition to becoming successful “bloggers”, IMPACT saw a substantial increase in the number of followers on both Twitter (@ImpactPharma), where we feature our company culture, employee promotions, and involvement in the community – as well as LinkedIn, which we use to let the outside world know about IMPACT’s people, business, and company.

2016 also saw the advent of our quarterly company newsletter, where we share information with our staff and the outside world about what IMPACT is up to – including attendance at industry events as well as activities internally and in the local community.

Our Continued Commitment to the Community

While 2016 was another successful year for us in terms of providing top-notch services to our clients, it was also a year that continued to see our employees stay actively engaged in causes and charities that are important to us as a company. Through our “Making an IMPACT” initiative, our staff members, along with their friends and families, participated in 11 events and worked with 15 different charities throughout 2016. In total, we donated over $5,000, collected 230 pounds of food for various initiatives, donated 31 pints of blood, collected school supplies, and donated bins of toys for children for the holidays, among other things.

“2016 proved to be another successful year for IMPACT in terms of continuing to expand an already strong and successful business,” said CEO Mark Cierpial, PhD. “This expansion allowed us to substantially increase the size of our staff while still providing top-notch services to our ever-increasing client base. At the same time, our team members continue to display a commitment to positively contributing to our company culture, ensuring that it’s not only about what we do, but how we do it. I am extremely proud of the individuals we have assembled here at IMPACT as they display, on a daily basis, a strong commitment to our clients, to our community, and to each other, making IMPACT a special place at which to work.”

IMPACT is a Contract Research Organization (CRO) located in Research Triangle Park, NC. Our team consists of drug development professionals who specialize in medical writing and quality control, drug development consulting, regulatory affairs, regulatory operations, project and program management, and early phase clinical trial management.
