IMPACT Pharmaceutical Services Celebrates Its 2014 Accomplishments

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC: 23 February 2015 – Impact Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (IMPACT), a pharmaceutical research and consulting firm located in Research Triangle Park, NC, had plenty to celebrate during a busy 2014.

Additions to our Team

IMPACT’s strength has been and continues to be its people, and the company made five wonderful additions to its stellar team, raising the number of full-time employees at IMPACT to 20.

  • Early in 2014, Gilbert “Chip” Carnathan, PhD, RAC, was hired as Director, Regulatory Affairs. Chip brings more than 30 years of experience in nonclinical development, toxicology research, regulatory affairs, and strategic drug development. Chip was an invaluable addition to an already strong management team at IMPACT.
  • During the fall, IMPACT hired Jacqueline Powell, PhD; Ashley Godfrey, PhD, RAC; Kathryn Tworkoski, PhD; and Kasturi Puranam, PhD as Clinical Research Scientists. All four of these individuals have very strong scientific backgrounds and are outstanding enhancements to IMPACT’s medical writing team.

New Service Offering – Electronic Publishing

In addition to the service offerings of medical writing and quality control, drug development consulting, regulatory affairs, project/program management, and early phase clinical trial management, IMPACT added electronic publishing and submission capabilities in early 2014. Already, our team of highly experienced individuals has built electronic publishing and submissions into a core service offering for the company and is currently providing these services to numerous clients.

Client Base Doubled

Our team at IMPACT prides itself on creating strong relationships with our clients, many of whom consider us to be an extension of their project team.  Primarily as a result of satisfied customer referrals, IMPACT nearly doubled its client base relative to 2013.  IMPACT looks forward to working with these new clients and is committed to bringing our honest, transparent, and flexible approach to each of their projects.

Launched Updated Website

In June of 2014, IMPACT upgraded its website, redesigned with a fresh, clean look to provide easy access to current information about our service offerings.  Added features allow current and prospective clients to submit a request for a proposal or ask a question of one of IMPACT’s drug development experts.  In addition, case studies have been included that highlight the variety of projects IMPACT assists our clients with and what those clients have to say about working with IMPACT.

Established Community Service Initiative – “Making an IMPACT”

Finally, in 2014, the company launched its “Making an IMPACT” initiative, aimed at extending IMPACT’s purpose-driven teamwork into the community. Together, IMPACT employees and their families are doing amazing things for the Triangle area, in turn promoting positive relationships among one another and building a confident, productive work place.

Now, a Word from IMPACT’s CEO

“2014 marked IMPACT’s five-year anniversary providing pharmaceutical development services to clients in the US and around the world, and it was an extremely productive year from both a project and personnel perspective,” said IMPACT CEO Mark Cierpial, PhD. “We saw a remarkable increase in the number of new clients that came our way, we launched a new service offering, and we enhanced an already strong staff with the addition of five new hires. We are confident that we’re positioned for continued success for years to come.  And, with the success of our ’Making an IMPACT‘ initiative, we are proud to say that our staff is as passionate about making a difference in their community as they are in helping our clients bring new medicines to the patients who need them.”
