IMPACT Pharmaceutical Services Proudly Sponsors “An Evening with Master Chefs” in Support of Cystic Fibrosis Research

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC: 16 March 2015 – IMPACT Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (IMPACT), a pharmaceutical research and consulting firm located in Research Triangle Park, NC, was a proud sponsor of this year’s “An Evening with Master Chefs,” benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). The event is held each year at The Carolina Club in Chapel Hill, NC. In addition to sponsoring a corporate table at the event, IMPACT also sponsored the veranda which displayed silent auction items.

An Evening with Master Chefs is the premier annual fundraising event put on by the Carolinas (Raleigh) Chapter of the CFF. Renowned Triangle area chefs from restaurants like the Angus Barn and the Backyard Bistro prepare a five-course meal, complete with specially selected wine pairings, for corporate and individual supporters. Silent and live auctions offer opportunities for attendees to take home incredible items, all generously donated to help find a cure for CF.

Two years ago, IMPACT was one of two higher bidders who each received the most coveted item at the Master Chef’s live auction, an original work of art painted by a young man with CF, Wells Clark. Wells’ artwork is displayed proudly in IMPACT’s lobby. Wells, now 15 years old, paints pictures to help pass the time during his breathing treatments and chest therapy. This year, the painting that Wells donated to the auction fetched $15,000 for CFF, and the second-place bidder also donated $15,000 for a painting to be delivered soon!

IMPACT has been involved with the Master Chef’s dinner event, as well as other events benefiting the CFF, for many years now. “Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects around 30,000 individuals in the United States, but is a disease that can be significantly impacted by the development of new drug treatments,” said Mark Cierpial, IMPACT’s CEO. “Our company is proud to be a part of the ongoing effort to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.”

cfrDr. Cierpial has chaired the Master Chef’s Corporate Recruitment Committee for the past two years, and this year joined the Board of the Carolina’s Chapter of the CF Foundation. Kay James, Executive Director of the Carolinas Chapter of the CFF, had this to say about IMPACT’s involvement with the foundation: “We deeply appreciate the leadership support of IMPACT for this annual event in support of the foundation’s research and CF care efforts. The Master Chefs event is about a community, no, a family of caring people who are dedicated to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.”

The “Evening at Master Chefs” event included over 350 attendees and raised over $250,000 for CFF.
